Global Lead, Talent Development

The Global Lead, Talent Development will be based in our headquarters in Nairobi and play a pivotal role in growing the talent development function and team. This position cuts across the organisation with a focus on bringing in the absolute best people to our organisation, retain and develop talent and build a people-centred culture.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader and excellent communicator with high EQ and the ability to solve problems independently. With a strong background in talent management, a deep understanding of HR practices, and the ability to effectively drive change within a dynamic organisation the candidate will collaborate closely with the Global Director of People and Culture to build an in-house recruitment engine and talent development and retention strategy. This role is a support function and will work closely with the People and Culture departments of all countries to cascade the global strategy into every office and organisational unit (e.g. schools).

Primary School Principal, Hargeisa Somaliland

We are seeking an outstanding and dedicated Primary School Principal to lead our Pharo Primary School in Hargeisa, Somaliland with excellence. As the educational leader and Chief Administrator, the Principal plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the school's operations. This includes implementing and upholding policies, regulations, and procedures to create a safe and enriching learning environment for students while fostering the professional growth of staff members. Responsibilities entail strategic planning, organisation effective management, and direct supervision of educational programmes and personnel. Additionally, the Principal is entrusted with ensuring that the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Pharo Foundation serve as the guiding principles shaping the school's culture.

Homeroom Teacher

The Home Room Teacher is responsible for ensuring that all students are taught the content and essential skills outlined in the school's schemes of work, in accordance with the school's Mission and Objectives. He or she will operate within the parameters of the policies, procedures, and standards of the school and bears direct responsibility for his or her class.  The homeroom teacher is in charge of keeping track of any medical issues that impact the students they teach as well as understanding what should be done in an emergency.

Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager (PM) will manage and coordinate the Pharo Foundation's procurement unit in Rwanda, to provide outstanding support to the organisation's programs in the country. Using best procurement management practices, he/she will provide leadership to improve the performance of all procurement functions to achieve better service delivery and cost effectiveness. 

The Procurement Manager reports to the Country Director and supervises the Kigali Operations Team. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the PM will work closely with other departments and management staff to provide outstanding technical support to the field operations.

ECD Teacher

The ECD Teacher is responsible for providing an early childhood education program for a group of 1 to 6 year old children.  As part of the child's development, he or she will address all areas of development as well as meet the individual needs of each child.  The ECD Teacher observes and assesses children's development, designs the learning environment, and implements and supervises developmentally appropriate learning activities.
